🛠 Still Ownership & Setup Players can purchase their own moonshine still from shady suppliers located in either the Eastern or Western Commonwealth. Each region has its own unique NPC contact, and purchasing stills requires a minimum law presence (Config.MinLaw) to ensure immersive balance and risk.
Stills are placed at hidden locations and must be protected. Lawmen and rival gangs can sabotage or destroy stills using a configured sledgehammer item (Config.SledgeHammer). If a still is attacked, the owner is instantly alerted, allowing players to create dynamic scenes, protect their investment, or stage ambushes.
💥 Still Destruction and Salvaging Stills can be destroyed by law enforcement or rival players using a sledgehammer. When destroyed, the still explodes, and debris and parts are left behind. These can be salvaged for scrap and repair items (like bolts, nuts, or even scrap metal). If the still was not overheated or damaged during cooking, players may also retrieve the moonshine inside.
🌫 Global Smoke Alerts Once a still begins cooking, a large smoke stack appears above it, visible to all players on the server. This smoke signal acts as a beacon, possibly drawing in rival factions or curious lawmen. The visibility range can be customized via Config.SmokeScale, encouraging strategy and risk management.
🍯 Deep Ingredient System The mash system includes over 30 unique ingredients in three categories:
Base Ingredients like Potato, Barley, Molasses
Yeasts & Enzymes like Distillers Yeast, Amylase
Flavor Enhancers like Apple, Maple Syrup, Cinnamon
Each combination impacts moonshine taste profiles (sweet, bitter, sour, etc.) and quality scoring. The quality of the moonshine—ranging from Poor to Premium—is influenced by ingredients and how well the player performs in the mini-game.
🔧 Realistic Still Attachments Stills and supply crates are physically attached to wagons using precise offset vectors (Config.AttachSettings). This allows players to haul their distilling gear across the map with immersive visual fidelity.
🔥 Mini-Game Driven Fermentation Lighting and managing a still involves an interactive mini-game. Players must monitor valve pressure and avoid overheating. Mistakes can burn the batch or destroy the still. Successfully completing the mini-game improves the final product's quality.

These scores impact player addiction rates, reputation, and payout value.
🚚 Moonshine Attack & Steal Missions Every 30 minutes, a moonshine heist mission can be initiated. Players must infiltrate guarded camps, steal a supply wagon, and deliver it to a drop-off location. Guards and mounted riders attack in waves based on Config.MissionLocations, and mission difficulty is customizable per region.
💨 Wagon Speed Penalties & Supply Loss Driving too fast? Supplies will fall from the wagon if players exceed the Config.WagonSpeedPenalty. Dropped items are networked and leave a physical trail for others to follow—turning a rushed delivery into a high-stakes chase.
💰 Configurable Rewards Missions reward players with cash and valuable items from Config.Rewards, including mash ingredients and crafted moonshine.
🧪 Mash Stations & Ingredient Crafting Custom mash stations placed around the map allow players to combine ingredients into flavored mash batches, which are then used in the still. The required items, flavor combinations, and amounts are entirely configurable.
🔧 Repair & Maintenance System Stills wear down over time or through tampering. Players must use configured repair items (Config.RepairRequirements) to restore functionality.
🧪 Addictive Moonshine Effects Depending on the quality tier, drinking moonshine may result in addiction chances and consequences. This promotes economic strategy and social RP consequences for overuse.
📦 Bottle Crafting Final moonshine products are bottled based on the flavor enhancer used. This includes over 10 flavor profiles—from Apple and Peach to Maple Syrup and Brown Sugar—linked to Config.MoonshineBottles.
This system combines immersive gameplay, risk-vs-reward dynamics, and configurable balance controls, making it a deep and engaging addition to any RedM server.
